Legislature clears measure to shield private spaceflight companies from liability related to in-flight accidents

Sen. Tom Wright The Legislature has signed off on a measure that would protect “commercial space flight entities” from liability for accidents that kill or injure the crew. The House voted 107-5 on May 3 to approve SB 1318 by Sen. Tom Wright, R-Port Orange. The measure passed with no discussion or debate.
