Bill would expand definition of gang membership to include social media activity

Rep. Jessica Baker Two Republican lawyer-lawmakers are proposing to expand the definition of “criminal gang membership” to include suspects who flout their membership on social media. HB 429 by Rep. Jessica Baker, a Jacksonville prosecutor, would expand the definition of a “criminal gang member,” under F.S. Ch. 874.
