Navigation Bill would require transcriptions in some family law cases

Family law court proceedings dealing with parental responsibility and child support issues would have to be electronically recorded or transcribed by a court reporter, under matching bills recently filed by Rep. Emily Slosberg, D-Boca Raton, and Sen. Lori Berman, D-Boynton Beach.
HB 339 and SB 558 would also require free copies of the recordings or transcripts be made available to indigent parties if they appeal a ruling.
