Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, the global litigation powerhouse, has named Olga Vieira as the firm’s newest Co-Managing Partner of the Miami Office. Vieira will be serving in this role alongside Samuel G. Williamson, a Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami office.

Vieira is a seasoned trial lawyer handling bet-the-company disputes for top global clients. Well-known to the bench and bar in South Florida where she has litigated since 2006, Vieira has handled high-profile cases, including: obtaining an injunction against the State of Florida to block the enforcement of a statute that would have prevented Norwegian Cruise Lines from requiring vaccine documentation; representing pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts in litigation around the country where the parties alleged RICO claims; and obtaining an emergency relief from the Court after several employees from the client firm left for a competitor, taking confidential information and soliciting clients in violation of their restrictive covenants.

“I am honored to take on the role of Co-Managing Partner and look forward to the continued expansion of Quinn Emanuel’s presence in Miami. Since our office opened, we have seen our litigation footprint expand in key practice areas, including real estate and the city’s booming finance industry,” said Olga Vieira, Partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP. “As a founding member of this office, it has been incredibly rewarding to witness its growth both in talent and practice areas within Miami’s vibrant legal market. Our firm’s reputation as a leading litigation firm is built on our unique value proposition: delivering superior service and achieving optimal outcomes backed by the resources of a global firm with deep local market knowledge.”
