A standard for setting a unique document identification number for each case filing — which could eventually be sent to lawyers representing parties in those cases — has been approved by the Florida Courts Technology Commission.
The FCTC OK’d a recommendation from its Case Management Systems Subcommittee on November 20 that changed its “Docket Numbering” policy into a more specific “Docket Identification Number” policy.
The FCTC, at the same meeting, also adopted its “Version 1.0” of technology standards for the court system.
