Do Not Admit That You Are Not Injured
Miami Attorney Gregg Goldfarb presents a 6 part series on “What Not to do After an Auto Accident.” This is part 4. Do not admit that you are not injured. Oftentimes at the scene of an accident, the adrenaline rush will be so significant that you won’t even realize that you actually are in pain. And you might admit to the other driver or the police officer that you are injury-free. Other times, some injuries such as whiplash will take a few days to show their symptoms. If you admit that you have no injury either to the other driver, the police officer or the other driver’s insurance companies, and you in fact do have an injury, this might make your claim against the other driver, difficult to proceed with. Instead of admitting that you are injury-free, do not say anything or tell them you don’t know.
