Nassau County District Court Judge Joseph Nocella Jr., if confirmed by the U.S. Senate, would return to lead the office where he served as an assistant U.S. attorney from 1991 to 1995. President-elect Donald Trump hailed Nocella for having a “strong record of bringing law and order” to New Yorkers.
