Barbara Ann Davis, as the personal representative of the estate of Alphonso Lee Davis, has filed a lawsuit against The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, LLC. The case was filed in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida under case number 502024CA004147XXXAMB Div: AA on May 3rd, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that Alphonso Lee Davis, who was an adult resident of Palm Beach County suffering from infirmities impairing his ability to provide for his own care and protection, received inadequate care at The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The center is accused of failing to develop an adequate care plan and properly monitor and supervise Mr. Davis’ treatment leading to the development and deterioration of wounds, falls, unexplained injuries, and respiratory failure.

As a result of these alleged acts and omissions by the defendant, Mr. Davis suffered physical harm which ultimately led to his death on October 29th, 2023. The damages sought by the plaintiff exceed $50,000 exclusive of interest and costs.
