Warren Seifter, acting as Next Friend of Leslie Seifter, has filed a lawsuit against CREF3 FSLP Boca Raton Owner, LLC, also known as Sonata Boca Raton. The case was filed in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida under case number 502024CA003077XXXAMB Div: AE on April 3rd, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that Leslie Seifter, an adult resident of Palm Beach County and a person over sixty years old with aging infirmities impairing her ability to care for herself, was admitted into Sonata Boca Raton’s assisted living facility despite her need for heightened nursing care. Warren Seifter is pursuing this action on behalf of Leslie Seifter following Garcia v. Brookwood Extended Care Center of Homestead precedent.

The complaint states that during Leslie’s residency at Sonata Boca Raton, the staff failed to develop an adequate care plan and properly monitor her treatment. This negligence allegedly led to the development and deterioration of wounds, falls and unexplained injuries, infections, and dehydration.
