In the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, Ubaldo Urrutia has filed a lawsuit against Hyatt Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Inc. Urrutia hired Hyatt Air Conditioning and Refrigeration to repair an air conditioning unit in his home located at 6206 Dimond Street, Jupiter, Florida. However, the defendant allegedly failed to fix a leak in the unit which led to water accumulating over a month. This accumulation caused the ceiling to collapse onto Urrutia on July 22, 2023, resulting in injuries.
The complaint further states that Hyatt Air Conditioning and Refrigeration breached their duty by negligently failing to adequately repair or inspect the air conditioning unit. This negligence resulted in Urrutia suffering bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of capacity for enjoyment of life.
