Navigation Stanley Jurevic sues Conlonial Care NH for negligence leading to Geneva Jurevic’s death
In the Circuit Court of the 6th Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, Stanley Jurevic, as personal representative of the estate of Geneva Jurevic, has filed a lawsuit against Conlonial Care NH, L.L.C., doing business as Lexington Health and Rehabilitation Center. The case was filed on March 29, 2024 with the court case ID: 24-001425-CI.
The plaintiff alleges that Geneva Jurevic was admitted to the defendant’s nursing home located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. On June 5, 2022, she suffered a preventable fall at the facility that resulted in a left hip fracture and surgery. Subsequently, she could not survive the trauma and passed away on August 17, 2022. The Medical Examiner determined her death as non-natural due to blunt force trauma from the incident at the defendant’s facility.
Stanley Jurevic is seeking damages exceeding fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for violations of Chapter 400 of the Florida Statutes by Conlonial Care NH. The plaintiff claims that Geneva Jurevic’s rights were violated including her right to receive adequate health care and protective services; her right to be treated courteously, fairly and with dignity; and her right to be free from mental and physical abuse.
