Restaurant Accused of Negligence After Patron Suffers Injuries
A Florida restaurant faces serious allegations after a slip-and-fall incident left a patron with significant injuries. Dalila Mayorga Castro filed a complaint on December 13, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County against Restaurante El Sabor Latino 2 Corp, doing business as El Sabor Latino.
The case stems from an incident that occurred on May 11, 2024, when Castro visited El Sabor Latino located at 2202 Jog Road in Greenacres, Florida. According to the complaint, while she was at the restaurant as a business invitee, she unexpectedly slipped and fell due to liquid and food debris on the floor. The lawsuit accuses the restaurant of negligence in maintaining safe premises for its patrons. Castro’s legal representation argues that El Sabor Latino failed to ensure a hazard-free environment and neglected to warn customers about potential dangers.
The complaint details several specific accusations against El Sabor Latino. It alleges that the restaurant did not adequately inspect or maintain its premises and failed to place warning signs in hazardous areas. Additionally, it claims that the establishment did not have enough trained personnel to manage cleanliness and safety effectively. “By allowing the aforementioned hazardous condition to exist,” the complaint states, “Defendant knew or should have known about the existence of said condition.” This failure allegedly led to Castro’s fall and subsequent injuries.
