A Lake Worth resident has filed a lawsuit against the City of West Palm Beach, alleging negligence that led to a severe injury. Monica Rolon initiated the complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, on July 15, 2024, accusing the city of failing to maintain safe conditions on its sidewalks.

According to the court documents, Rolon claims that on November 14, 2023, she tripped and fell due to an uneven sidewalk on Olive Avenue near St. Ann’s School garage in West Palm Beach. The plaintiff asserts that the cement sidewalk was raised by at least two inches, creating a hazardous condition.
