A high-stakes defamation lawsuit has been filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, involving a prominent real estate agent and a luxury property developer. Marcy Javor, a well-known real estate agent with Signature One Luxury Estates, LLC, filed the complaint on July 8, 2024, against Arnold Galman and his company, Galman Group, Ltd., alleging a malicious campaign to destroy her reputation.

According to the complaint filed by Javor in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, Galman embarked on a defamatory crusade after a business deal went sour. The trouble began when Javor assisted Galman in locating and negotiating for luxury properties within the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club community. Despite successfully closing on an $11.75 million property due to Javor’s efforts, Galman allegedly refused to pay the agreed-upon commission to Signature One Luxury Estates and instead launched a smear campaign against Javor.

The lawsuit details numerous instances where Galman allegedly threatened and defamed Javor through emails and public flyers. On May 9, 2024, Galman sent an email promising to “write a letter to every single resident at Royal Palm explaining what you did and the lawsuit that I am bringing against you and the firm.” Another email sent on May 12 warned: “just be ready because I am preparing a letter to be sent to 700 homes at Royal Palm exposing your dishonesty and treachery.” These communications were part of what Javor describes as an orchestrated effort by Galman to ruin her professional standing.
