Karl Moats and Christine Culver have filed a complaint against Eden Interiors, LLC, Mohamad M. Mousa, MNTCRE, LLC, MNTCRE Ventures LLC, Faisel Mamdouth Skeik, and Imelda Ramirez in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida on May 30, 2024. The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from the defendants.

The lawsuit centers around multiple allegations including civil theft, conversion, civil conspiracy, fraud, breach of contract, negligence, unjust enrichment and equitable accounting. The case began when the plaintiffs were introduced to Mohamad M. Mousa and his company Eden Interiors while shopping for homes in Palm Beach County during the summer of 2023. The couple decided to purchase both a property located at 720 Kittyhawk Way and the furniture staged by Eden Interiors for $10,000.

According to the complaint, Mousa represented himself as a licensed interior designer with a professional concierge team capable of handling all aspects of their move and renovation needs. This team included Faisel Mamdouth Skeik and Imelda Ramirez who were introduced as business partners and assistants responsible for ordering and processing payments.
