Samantha Prado, a resident of Palm Beach County, has filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart Stores East, LP, following an incident that occurred at a Walmart Supercenter. The complaint was filed on April 25, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida. Prado is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 due to injuries sustained from a slip and fall at the store.

According to the complaint, on August 5, 2023, Samantha Prado visited the Walmart Supercenter located at 4375 Belvedere Rd., West Palm Beach. While shopping near the customer service area, she slipped and fell on a slippery and dirty liquid substance present on the floor. The fall resulted in serious personal injuries for Prado. The lawsuit claims that Wal-Mart Stores East failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition and neglected to warn customers about potential hazards.

Prado’s legal team argues that Wal-Mart had a duty to ensure their premises were safe for customers and to alert them of any hidden dangers. “Defendant breached its duty owed to Plaintiff by negligently maintaining its premises,” states the complaint. It further alleges that Wal-Mart’s employees either created or allowed the hazardous condition to persist long enough that they should have been aware of it.
