Plaintiff Jacqueline Santiago sues Property Managers over Negligence Leading to Injury
Jacqueline Santiago has filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on December 31, 2024, against two companies: 2558 Military Trail LLC and West Palm Beach Management, LLC. The complaint accuses these defendants of negligence that led to Santiago’s injuries sustained from a fall on their premises.
According to the complaint, Santiago was visiting the property located at or near 2585 S Military Trail in Palm Beach County as a business invitee on May 25, 2024. During her visit, she tripped and fell due to poorly lit and negligently maintained grounds. The plaintiff claims that both defendants failed to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition, creating hazardous conditions for patrons like herself. “By carelessly and negligently failing to maintain the grounds… Defendant created a dangerous condition,” the complaint states.
Santiago further alleges that the defendants knew or should have known about these dangerous conditions but failed to correct them or warn her adequately. The complaint outlines specific acts of negligence by both companies, including failing to maintain safe premises and neglecting to warn patrons of potential hazards despite having greater knowledge than visitors like Santiago.
