Yasser Kazbour has filed a lawsuit alleging severe emotional distress caused by a neighbor’s persistent harassment. The complaint was filed on February 24, 2025, in the County Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, against Theresa Schefstad.

According to the complaint, Yasser Kazbour and Theresa Schefstad are both residents and unit owners at Pointe Towers Condominium in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Kazbour claims that since September 2020, Schefstad has engaged in a pattern of harassment intended to intimidate him into selling his condominium unit and alienating him from the community. The alleged actions include making prank calls from anonymous numbers to scare Kazbour, illegally recording phone conversations, and presenting these recordings with false allegations to the condominium’s community association board. Furthermore, Schefstad is accused of taking photographs and videos of Kazbour’s property to falsely accuse him of violating community rules and leaving trash outside his unit.

Kazbour also alleges that Schefstad encouraged the board to send defamatory emails to other residents accusing him of breaking various community rules he did not violate. This included accusations of leaving water and sand in common areas and placing trash outside his door. Additionally, when Kazbour installed a Ring camera for security reasons due to ongoing harassment concerns, Schefstad allegedly attempted to obstruct its view by covering it with sticky notes and other items while encouraging the board to demand its removal.
