Plaintiff Alleges Negligence Against Ocean Breeze Laundromat Following Slip-and-Fall Incident
Peter Ewing has filed a lawsuit against Golden Transfer, Inc., doing business as Ocean Breeze Laundromat, for negligence after suffering severe injuries on their premises. The complaint was lodged in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on October 31, 2024. Ewing alleges that the laundromat failed to maintain a safe environment, leading to his slip and fall incident.
According to the complaint filed by Peter Ewing, he was visiting Ocean Breeze Laundromat on November 12, 2023, when he slipped on a transitory foreign substance present on the floor. This incident resulted in severe and permanent injuries for Ewing. He claims that Golden Transfer had a duty to ensure their premises were safe for invitees like him but failed to do so. The plaintiff accuses the defendant of multiple negligent acts including not maintaining a safe environment, failing to warn about or remedy dangerous conditions, and not implementing adequate safety policies.
Ewing’s legal representation argues that these failures directly caused his injuries which include physical and mental pain, loss of earnings capacity, and substantial medical expenses. As stated in the complaint: “Defendant GOLDEN…breached its duty owed to Plaintiff PETER EWING by committing one or more of the following negligent acts.” These alleged breaches have led Ewing to seek damages exceeding $50,000 from Golden Transfer.
