A serious negligence lawsuit has been filed against a tire store in Palm Beach County, Florida, following an incident that left a man with severe injuries. On December 23, 2024, Anthony Flora filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit against Easy Pay Tire Stores, Inc., alleging negligence after a repair job went awry.

According to the complaint, Anthony Flora was at Easy Pay Tire Store located at 619 N Federal Highway, Boynton Beach on November 3, 2023. He was there as an invitee to have his motorized scooter chain repaired by one of the store’s employees. Shortly after leaving the premises, the chain reportedly broke again, causing Flora to fall and sustain significant injuries. The plaintiff claims that Easy Pay Tire Stores had a duty to exercise reasonable care when making repairs and alleges that this duty was breached due to improper repair work performed on his scooter.

Flora’s complaint outlines various forms of suffering resulting from the incident including bodily injuries leading to pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and financial losses such as medical expenses and lost earnings. The complaint emphasizes that these damages are either permanent or will continue into the future. As such, Flora is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 along with costs and pre-judgment interest where applicable. He also demands a trial by jury for all issues so triable as a matter of right.
