A woman has filed a lawsuit against a local business and its manager, alleging negligence after she suffered injuries from a fall on the premises. Elizabeth Cheeseman initiated the complaint in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on October 25, 2024, naming MMG Palm Harbor LLC, doing business as The Lucky Dill, and an individual referred to as Jane Doe as defendants.

The lawsuit arises from an incident that occurred on October 18, 2023. According to the complaint, Cheeseman was visiting The Lucky Dill restaurant located at 33180 US Hwy 19 N in Palm Harbor when she tripped and fell due to wet and slippery stairs. Cheeseman claims that both MMG Palm Harbor LLC and Jane Doe were negligent in maintaining safe conditions on the premises. The complaint outlines several allegations against the defendants including failure to maintain walkways properly, creating hazardous conditions for patrons like Cheeseman, failing to inspect or warn about dangerous conditions, and not correcting known hazards in a timely manner.

Cheeseman argues that these alleged failures directly resulted in her fall and subsequent injuries. She reports suffering serious bodily harm which includes pain and suffering, disability, scarring, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses for treatment and care, as well as aggravation of pre-existing conditions. These injuries are described as either permanent or ongoing.
