Tyler Aleman has filed a lawsuit against a major gas station chain, alleging negligence that led to a serious injury. The complaint was lodged by Aleman in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on January 6, 2025, targeting RaceTrac, Inc. as the defendant.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on July 31, 2022, at a RaceTrac gas station located at 4625 66th St. N., St. Petersburg, Florida. According to the complaint, Tyler Aleman was visiting the premises as an invitee when he slipped and fell on an oil-like substance near the fuel pump area. This accident allegedly resulted in significant personal injuries for Aleman. The plaintiff claims that RaceTrac had control over the premises and therefore bore responsibility for maintaining it in a safe condition.

Aleman’s lawsuit accuses RaceTrac of several breaches of duty. Specifically, it alleges that RaceTrac failed to correct or adequately address what is described as an “unreasonably dangerous condition” at the fuel pump area. Furthermore, Aleman asserts that RaceTrac neglected to warn him about this hazard despite its regular occurrence and foreseeability. “RaceTrac knew or should have known of the dangerous conditions,” states the complaint.
