A legal battle has erupted over a trip-and-fall incident at a mobile park in Clearwater, Florida. Yojimbo Yaeoki-Ryukyu filed a complaint against Embassy Mobile Park, Inc., on April 21, 2025, in the County Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for injuries sustained due to alleged negligence by the defendant.

The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on May 2, 2023, when Yaeoki-Ryukyu was lawfully present as an invitee at Embassy Mobile Park’s premises located at 16416 US Hwy 19 N, Lot 21 in Clearwater. According to the complaint, Yaeoki-Ryukyu tripped and fell on an uneven and poorly maintained sidewalk within the park. The plaintiff asserts that Embassy Mobile Park had a duty to ensure the safety of its premises but failed to do so. “Defendant breached all of these duties,” states the complaint, highlighting several areas where the park allegedly fell short.

Yaeoki-Ryukyu accuses Embassy Mobile Park of failing to inspect and maintain the sidewalk properly, allowing it to deteriorate into a hazardous state. The lawsuit further claims that the park neglected to repair or warn about this dangerous condition despite having actual or constructive notice of it. As a result of this negligence, Yaeoki-Ryukyu suffered significant injuries including bodily harm, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and other related losses which are described as either permanent or continuing.
