Plaintiff Alleges Negligence Against Florida-Based Transportation Company Following Injury
Thomas Lorick has filed a lawsuit seeking damages for injuries he sustained as a passenger in a vehicle owned by a Florida-based company. The complaint was lodged on November 7, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Bus One (Preferred Vendor) LLC and Trisura Insurance Company.
According to the complaint, Thomas Lorick was injured on November 4, 2022, while riding as a passenger in a vehicle operated by an employee of Bus One. The plaintiff alleges that the employee negligently slammed on the brakes, causing Lorick to suffer severe injuries. “The employee driver breached this duty by failing to operate the motor vehicle in a safe and controlled manner,” states the complaint. Lorick accuses Bus One of negligence under the doctrine of respondeat superior, asserting that the company is liable for its employee’s actions since they occurred within the scope of employment.
The lawsuit further claims that due to Bus One’s negligence, Lorick has endured and will continue to endure physical and emotional pain, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, lost earnings, and other damages. He seeks compensation exceeding $50,000 from Bus One for these losses.
