Loyda Moreno, a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida, has filed a lawsuit against El Bodegon Grocery, Inc., alleging negligence that resulted in personal injury. The complaint was officially lodged on February 19, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, located in Palm Beach County. The case revolves around an incident that occurred on May 6, 2023, at the defendant’s premises.

According to the complaint filed by Loyda Moreno through her attorneys at Schuler, Weisser, Zoeller, Overbeck & Baxter, P.A., El Bodegon Grocery is accused of failing to maintain a safe environment for its patrons. On the date in question, Moreno was visiting the grocery store located at 4704 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach when she slipped and fell due to allegedly hazardous conditions. The legal document outlines several accusations against El Bodegon Grocery. As a result of this alleged negligence, Moreno sustained bodily injuries leading to pain and suffering, disability, scarring, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses for treatment and care, loss of earnings capacity, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. These damages are claimed to be either permanent or ongoing.
