Laurie Lampert has filed a negligence lawsuit against a well-known convenience store chain, alleging that the company failed to maintain safe premises, resulting in her injury. The complaint was lodged by Lampert on December 2, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, naming Circle K Stores, Inc., and an unknown store manager as defendants.

According to the court documents, Laurie Lampert claims that on March 28, 2024, she was lawfully present as a customer at a Circle K store located at 4860 62nd Ave. N., Pinellas Park, Florida. During her visit, she tripped over a raised sidewalk protruding from the ground on the business premises. This incident allegedly caused her to fall and sustain significant injuries. Lampert asserts that both Circle K Stores and the unknown store manager were aware or should have been aware of this hazardous condition but failed to take appropriate action to rectify it or warn customers like herself.

The lawsuit outlines several accusations against Circle K Stores and its management. It accuses them of failing to maintain safe premises by not adequately inspecting or repairing the raised sidewalk that posed a danger to patrons. “Defendants had actual knowledge of the raised sidewalk protruding from the ground,” states the complaint. Furthermore, it alleges negligence on part of Circle K for not having sufficient staff assigned to inspect and maintain safety standards within their operations.
