A serious negligence lawsuit has been filed in Palm Beach County, Florida, involving a plaintiff who claims to have suffered severe injuries due to hazardous conditions on a commercial property. The complaint was lodged by Melodie Dominguez on December 23, 2024, against Intervest-Northmil Limited Partnership, HomeGoods, Inc., and Joseph’s Classic Market Realty, LLC.

The lawsuit details an incident that occurred on September 2, 2023, when Dominguez visited the premises located at 4405 Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. She alleges that she sustained significant injuries after stepping onto a raised and uneven ramp outside the building. According to the complaint, all three defendants—Intervest-Northmil Limited Partnership (a Florida Limited Partnership), HomeGoods, Inc. (a Foreign Profit Corporation), and Joseph’s Classic Market Realty, LLC (a Florida Limited Liability Company)—are responsible for maintaining the property in a safe condition but failed to do so.

Dominguez’s legal filing accuses each defendant of negligence for not implementing adequate safety policies or procedures to identify and correct dangerous conditions such as the unstable ramp. She claims they neglected their duty of care by failing to install handrails or warning signs around the hazard. The lawsuit states that these oversights created “a foreseeable zone of risk” for visitors like herself.
