A serious legal battle is unfolding in Palm Beach County, Florida, as a plaintiff accuses two individuals of negligence that led to significant personal injury. On October 2, 2024, Murat Egelierler filed a complaint in the Circuit Court for the 15th Judicial Circuit against James Leon Ashley Jr. and Stella Ashley, alleging negligence on their part.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on February 13, 2023, when Murat Egelierler was visiting the premises located at 10811 Santa Rosa Drive in Boca Raton. According to the complaint, Egelierler tripped and fell over a dangerous and concealed step at the entrance of the property. The lawsuit claims that both defendants, who owned or controlled the premises, failed in their duty to maintain a safe environment for invitees like Egelierler.

In his negligence claim against James Leon Ashley Jr., Egelierler asserts that Ashley had a responsibility to ensure the premises were safe and free from hazards. The complaint details several alleged failures by Ashley: he did not maintain the property safely, allowed a concealed trip hazard to exist for an unreasonable time, and failed to warn visitors about this danger. As a result of these alleged breaches of duty, Egelierler suffered extensive injuries including bodily harm, pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of earnings capacity, and other damages.
