Plaintiff Alleges Assault at Wedding Reception Against Hotel Guest
Jane Doe has filed a lawsuit against a man and a resort, alleging a shocking incident that occurred during a wedding reception. On March 13, 2025, Jane Doe lodged her complaint in the Circuit Court for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, accusing Cedric Ryan Roberge and Dolphin Reef, LLC, doing business as Fusion Resort, of serious misconduct.
According to the court documents, Jane Doe was attending a wedding at Fusion Resort on March 24, 2023. She claims that after being offered a drink by Cedric Ryan Roberge—despite initially declining—she consumed it and began feeling severely impaired. The plaintiff alleges that she was subsequently dragged to another bar by other guests due to her inability to walk properly. Later that night, back at her hotel room within the resort’s premises, she contends that Roberge assaulted her while she was unconscious after being drugged with methadone or another illicit substance.
The complaint further accuses Roberge of violating Florida Statute §794.011 (4)(b) by committing assault without consent. Jane Doe recounts waking up to find herself being assaulted and informed by Roberge that she “won’t remember anything.” The lawsuit details the physical and psychological injuries suffered by Doe as a result of this incident, including bodily harm and permanent psychological trauma.
