A high-profile legal battle has erupted over the alleged theft and mishandling of valuable personal property, including items with significant historical and sentimental value. Christina Oxenberg filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on August 9, 2024, against Robin Leacock (also known as Robin Baker, Robin Craig, Melanie Craig Leacock), Robert Leacock, The Silver Fund LLC, and Michael E. James.

According to the complaint, Oxenberg entrusted her valuable personal property to Robin and Robert Leacock before relocating to Serbia in February 2020. This property included nine pieces of silver emblazoned with her Royal Family Crest, books owned by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy and John Fitzgerald Kennedy with handwritten notes, ten photograph albums containing hundreds of photographs of friends and family members from various royal families throughout Europe and the Kennedy family, as well as other memorabilia. Oxenberg claims that she provided professional public relations services to Robin Leacock in exchange for storing these items at their residence in Manalapan, Palm Beach County.

Oxenberg alleges that during her incapacitation due to illness in late 2020 while in Serbia, the Leacocks opened the boxes containing her personal property with the intent to pilfer them. She asserts that upon recovery and subsequent communications with the Leacocks about her belongings, some items were returned piecemeal but not those of significant value. Furthermore, Oxenberg claims that on March 15, 2024, Robin Leacock sold nine silver items to The Silver Fund LLC for $1,000 without proper documentation or itemization. Despite continuous pressure from Oxenberg for information regarding her belongings’ whereabouts and sales details per Florida Statute Chapter 539 requirements for pawnbrokers, The Silver Fund LLC allegedly provided false stories and excuses.
