A Palm Beach County resident has filed a lawsuit alleging negligence that resulted in personal injury. On October 9, 2024, Ana Silva-Benitez lodged a complaint against Natalya Baker in the Circuit Court of the 157th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on April 6, 2022, at a property owned and controlled by the defendant, Natalya Baker, located at or near 3485 Kirk Road in Lake Worth, Florida. According to the complaint filed by Silva-Benitez through her attorneys at Scher & Scher P.A., she was lawfully present on Baker’s premises when she suffered injuries due to allegedly negligent maintenance of the property. The plaintiff claims that rocks obstructing water runoff were left uneven and slippery, creating an unreasonably dangerous condition that led to her fall.

Silva-Benitez argues that Baker either knew or should have known about this hazardous condition as it had existed for a sufficient length of time. The lawsuit details the severe consequences faced by Silva-Benitez following the fall, including bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. These damages are described as permanent or continuing in nature.
