Holland & Knight advised the Miss Universe Organization, and its owners JKN Global Group PCL, in a multiyear deal with Roku Inc. (NASDAQ: ROKU) to continue as the U.S. streaming service for the Miss Universe pageant. The pageant will air in both English and Spanish, as the streaming service carries the Spanish-language television network Telemundo. The deal was announced on August 3.

Based in Thailand, JKN Global Group is a leading content distribution business and the parent company of the Miss Universe Organization, which owns and operates the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA beauty pageants. The 72nd Miss Universe pageant will take place on Nov. 18, 2023, in El Salvador.
