Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP advised WeWork International Limited and its affiliates in acquiring SoftBank Latin America’s stake in a joint venture operating WeWork locations across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico. Through this transaction and subsequent corporate entity restructuring, WeWork now holds complete ownership of its Latin American business.

These transactions mark a significant milestone for WeWork, enabling the company to consolidate its operations across Latin America and strengthen its position in key markets.

The closing of the acquisition of all WeWork operations in Brazil was finalized Feb. 21 upon receiving approval from the Brazilian Antitrust authorities. The acquisitions in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico, as well as the restructuring of operations in Brazil, occurred in late 2024, following approval from the Mexican and Brazilian Antitrust authorities.
