Fred E. Karlinsky, shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A.’s Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices, was presented the Outstanding Public Service Award by Cecil Pearce, president of the Florida Insurance Council (FIC). Karlinsky accepted the award at the FIC’s 2022 Summer Symposium in Orlando July 26-29. During the symposium, Karlinsky discussed the Florida court system.

Karlinsky is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Insurance Regulatory & Transactions Practice and a shareholder in the Government Law & Policy Practice. He has nearly 30 years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers, and a wide variety of other insurance-related entities on their regulatory, transactional, corporate, and governmental affairs matters. Recognized as one of the top insurance lawyers by Chambers & Partners, a global attorney ranking organization, Karlinsky has in-depth knowledge of insurance compliance matters and has been a primary strategist in virtually all types of Florida insurance-related legislative initiatives.

The FIC is the vision and voice of Florida’s insurance community, according to its website. On behalf of its members, FIC works with members of the Florida Legislature, regulators at state agencies, and statewide elected officials on issues that affect insurers’ ability to serve their clients.
