A former student has sued the Jefferson County school board and others after he claims a school resource officer tased him.

Anthony Travon Ivey filed his lawsuit in federal court against Mac McNeill, Jefferson County School Board, Somerset Academy and Brandon Bradley. 

According to the complaint, Ivey was tased by Bradley during a physical altercation at Somerset Academy on December 6, 2019. Ivey was a minor at the time, and he says he was trying to stop a physical altercation between his younger brother and another student at the school.
