In a dramatic legal confrontation, a Palm Beach County resident is taking on a major car rental company over allegations of negligence leading to severe personal injuries. Harriet Reynolds filed a complaint against Enterprise Leasing Company of Florida, LLC in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on May 8, 2025.

The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on May 13, 2021, when Reynolds visited an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location at 2125 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach. According to the complaint, Reynolds was directed by an Enterprise employee towards the office and subsequently tripped over an uneven walking surface near a chain-link fence. This fall resulted in significant injuries for Reynolds. The plaintiff claims that the uneven ground constituted a concealed and dangerous condition that had existed long enough for Enterprise to be aware of it. Despite this, no warnings were provided to customers about the potential hazard.

Reynolds accuses Enterprise Leasing Company of Florida of failing to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition and neglecting their duty to warn her of latent dangers. The complaint details how this alleged negligence led to bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, as well as emotional distress and mental anguish. Reynolds argues that these injuries are ongoing and will require future medical care and result in continued financial losses.
