Delray Beach Resident Sues Property Manager and Store Manager Over Negligence Leading to Injuries
A Delray Beach resident has filed a lawsuit seeking damages for injuries sustained in a parking lot accident. Richard K. Levin lodged the complaint against PMG Ocean Associates II, LLC and Jonathan Legrand in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on September 20, 2024.
According to the court documents, Levin alleges that on January 19, 2023, he tripped and fell due to an uneven and neglected parking lot at Charleston Square in Lake Worth, Florida. The property is managed by PMG Ocean Associates II, LLC. Levin claims that the company failed to maintain the premises safely, leading to his injuries. “The negligent condition was known to Defendant or had existed for a sufficient length of time so that Defendant should have known of it,” states the complaint.
Levin further asserts that Jonathan Legrand, the store manager at Winn-Dixie located within Charleston Square, also bears responsibility for his injuries. The plaintiff argues that Legrand had a non-delegable duty to ensure the safety of all invitees on the premises but failed to do so. “Defendant Legrand owed a non-delegable duty of care to all invitees on the premises,” reads another section of the complaint.
