In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by Christopher Lundeen against Air Ambulance Worldwide, LLC and Air Gato Enterprises, Inc. The case number is 24-001700-CI and it was filed on April 16, 2024. The plaintiff is seeking damages for injuries sustained during an aircraft flight incident.

Christopher Lundeen, a resident of Florida, was injured while aboard a Learjet 35A operated by Air Ambulance and owned by Air Gato. The flight took place on April 22, 2022 from Atlanta to Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Florida. Lundeen was onboard as a transport respiratory therapist providing care to a young patient. Both defendants are corporations organized under the laws of Florida with Carlos Gonzalez as their registered agent.

During the initial climb out of the aircraft, Lundeen and a flight nurse experienced continuous popping in their ears while witnessing the pilots troubleshoot an issue using a flight manual. Despite increasing discomfort and protests from Lundeen to drop altitude due to failing cabin pressure regulator valve and desaturating oxygen levels of the patient, the pilots only acquiesced when they were approximately 30 minutes away from their destination airport.
