Armstrong Teasdale Adds Associates in New York, Miami
Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Associates Emily Burgess, Nicholas Caiafa and Jose Peralta to the firm. They are among more than 180 lawyers and staff professionals who have joined Armstrong Teasdale in 2022 alone.
Burgess has joined the New York office as a Litigation associate focusing her practice on white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial disputes. She has experience representing individuals in regulatory investigations conducted by the Securities Exchange Commission, Department of Justice and state law enforcement agencies and in trying cases to verdict in both state and federal courts.
Caiafa is an Intellectual Property associate in New York and focuses on patent and trademark law. He is skilled at preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications and has experience in mechanical, chemical and electrical technologies, including medical devices, automobile components, farming equipment, lithium-ion batteries, consumer products, flexographic printing and electrical systems. He leverages his extensive hands-on product development experience to analyze an invention and develop a patent strategy tailored to a client’s current and future objectives.
