For over 35 years, the annual Florida Bar Reporters’ Workshop has been held in Tallahassee. It is an intensive two-day course is designed for 24 print, online, TV and radio journalists new to the courts and legal beats or new to Florida. Due to Hurricane Helene, the in-person 2024 Reporters’ Workshop was canceled. Instead, the Media & Communications Law Committee is working to have online webinars on different topics relevant to court/legal reporting throughout the year and open to all journalists in the state.
