WMU-Cooley holds winter commencement for Tampa Bay campus graduates
WMU-Cooley Tampa Bay campus graduates celebrate following commencement ceremonies on December 15. “Now, we get to change the world together,” valedictorian Kimberly (Shana) Mitchell told her classmates and supporting family and friends. “We’ll be problem-solvers, negotiators, activists, peace-makers, fighters, and advocates, and through it all, I hope we’ll stay compassionate.”
Graduates of WMU-Cooley Law School’s Tampa Bay campus were honored during a graduation ceremony December 15 at the University of South Florida Oval Theater.
During the commencement, 23 juris doctor degrees were conferred to members of Tampa Bay’s Thomas Emmett Brennan, Sr. Class and 22 juris doctor degrees were conferred to members of the David Josiah Brewer Class. Kimberly (Shana) Mitchell was chosen to give valedictory remarks for the Brennan Class, while Alberto (Tito) Gonzalez was chosen for the Brewer Class. Attorney and WMU-Cooley Law School board member Mustafa Ameen presented the keynote address.
