Florida Bar President Scott Westheimer talked to the Seminole County Bar Association September 16 about the Bar disciplinary procedures, gave tips on avoiding disciplinary complaints, and on the future of being lawyers.

As of January, there are 111,812 members of The Florida Bar with 93,808 eligible to practice; 14% of eligible members are out of state; 61% of firms or legal offices operate with five or fewer lawyers; 70% of firms or legal offices have 10 or fewer attorneys; and 74% of the membership is in private practice, while 15% are in government service.
