UM Law captures YLD’s Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition
University of Miami School of Law’s Marianne Adams and David Malka, front, won The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition at the Annual Florida Bar Convention in Boca Raton. The final round was judged by Florida Supreme Court justices, from the left in the back, Justice Jamie R. Grosshans, Justice Meredith L. Sasso, Justice Renatha Francis, Justice Charles T. Canady, Justice John D. Couriel, Chief Justice Carlos G. Muñiz, and Justice Jorge Labarga.
The University of Miami School of Law’s Charles C. Papy, Jr., Moot Court team won the Bar’s Young Lawyers Division Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition, beating University of Florida in the semifinals and Florida International University in the final round.
This is the third consecutive year Miami Law’s moot court team has advanced to the final round, reinforcing the law school’s strength in the area of litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, accoring the the university.
