U.S. Middle District of Florida needs a magistrate judge for the Jacksonville Division
The Middle District of Florida will appoint a full-time magistrate judge for the Jacksonville Division.
The annual salary is $213,992. The term of office is eight years. The magistrate judge’s residence and duty station will be in the Jacksonville Division, but the magistrate judge maybe called upon to assist in the Ocala and Orlando Divisions.
The Middle District utilizes magistrate judges to the maximum extent permissible under 28 U.S.C. § 636(link is external). The minimum qualifications for appointment as a magistrate judge are established in § 631(b)(link is external) and in Chapter 1 of the Regulations of the Judicial Conference establishing standards and procedures for the appointment of United States magistrate judges.
