U.S. 11th Circuits seeks U.S. Middle District of Florida public defender applicants
The United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit invites applications for its Federal Public Defender position for the Middle District of Florida.
The current salary is $191,900. The selected candidate may sit in any location that the Middle District of Florida has a Federal Public Defender office: Tampa, Ft. Myers, Orlando, Ocala, or Jacksonville. The court is searching for the best qualified person and encourages applications from all qualified persons.
Although the incumbent Federal Public Defender, Alec F. Hall, intends to seek reappointment to this position, the court says there is no presumptive right to reappointment and it will consider all applications under the same standards.
