The head of a Florida Bar cybersecurity committee is applauding a new agreement by the U.S. and foreign allies not to pay ransom to cyber criminals.

“When you pay criminals, you’re adding to the threat to public safety, as far as I’m concerned,” said Cybersecurity & Privacy Law Committee Co-Chair Steve Teppler.
