The T.J. Reddick Bar Association and Kaplan have developed a partnership to increase the number of Black attorneys by creating a scholarship for Black law students.

This new scholarship, in the form of bar preparatory courses, will be awarded to eligible rising 2Ls and 3Ls who are members of the Black Law Students Association in South Florida, to help alleviate the financial burdens that Black law students experience while preparing for the bar exam.

According to a recently released report by the ABA, Black law school graduates generally take on tens of thousands of dollars more in student loan debt than their white counterparts, which affects some of their most personal life choices.
