Sixth DCA has two judicial opening
Gov. Ron DeSantis requested that the Sixth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission provide him with names of qualified nominees to fill two vacancies recently created by the Governor and the Florida Legislature.
The JNC requires interested candidates to submit a completed application for consideration to Chair Tara Tedrow at tara.tedrow@lowndes-law.com on or before August 1 at 12 p.m. Incomplete applications, obsolete forms of application, and applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Applicants in need of guidance should direct inquires to the chair. Applicants must qualify to hold office for District Court under Article V, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution. Those qualifications include having been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding 10 years, being a registered voter in the State of Florida, and residing in Orange, Osceola, Hardee, Highlands, Polk, Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry or Lee counties at the time of appointment. The commission will issue a separate release regarding the dates and times for interviews.
