Sherman petitions for Bar reinstatement
Pursuant to Rule Bar 3-7.10, Bradley Stuart Sherman has petitioned the Supreme Court for Bar reinstatement.
In Case Number SC20-1550, Sherman was suspended from the practice of law for one year, with an effective date of August 20, 2021, for engaging in a consensual sexual relationship with a client resulting in the birth of a child and then later impermissibly used and revealed the information he obtained during the representation to the disadvantage of the client in a paternity action. During the earlier representation, Sherman also engaged in deceptive conduct by pretending to be the client to send messages to the opposing party that was represented by counsel. Further, he drafted a motion for the client while the client was acting pro se and failed to include the required notice that it was prepared with the assistance of counsel. In Case Number SC22-1114, Sherman was suspended for 18 months to run consecutive to the one-year suspension for failing to comply with Rule 3-5.1 that required him to file Notice of Employment and/or Quarterly Reports in a timely manner and he had impermissible direct contact with clients of the law firms and/or legal organizations for which he worked as a nonlawyer during his suspension.
