A bill that would overhaul the Florida property insurance industry – and limit fees for attorneys representing property owners with damage claims – is poised for final passage in the Florida Senate.

And that could come as early as April 7, said Senate President Wilton Simpson, R-Spring Hill, after the Senate rejected a series of amendments for SB 76 by Democratic senators on April 1.
